Nehemiah 1:4-11 “When I heard these words (sin, corruption lawlessness, anarchy in Jerusalem & Israel)…I sat down & wept…mourned for many days…praying & fasting before…God…I pray Lord…You…who keep Your covenant & mercy with those who love You & (keep) Your commands…hear the prayer of Your servant…I pray…day & night for the children of Israel…we have sinned against You…my father’s house & I have sinned…acted very corruptly…have not kept Your commands…You, Lord commanded…If you are unfaithful I will scatter you among the nations…but if you return to Me & keep My commands…yet I will gather you from there & bring you to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name…Now these are Your servants…whom You, Lord, have redeemed by Your great power…Lord, I pray…be attentive to the prayer of Your…servants who desire to fear Your name…let Your servant prosper this day…grant…mercy.”
