Questions, Answers & Prayer:

I’m very concerned about a very weak & sick loved one. I’ve seen God heal before but can you explain how to pray for the sick?

Jesus gives us His authority & commands us to lay our hands on & heal the sick (Mt. 10:7-8; Mark 16:18; & James 5:13-18; Exodus 15:26).

Get some kind of oil like olive or cooking oil & be prepared to put a bit on the tip of your finger. Then read James 5:13-18. This passage is God's New Testament healing Covenant. Below, it’s given in 10 steps:

1) The sick person is to ask, in faith, for an elder or a mature person of faith, to pray for her. 2) Then tell your friend to prepare her heart to receive goodness, strength, peace & healing from the Lord.

3) Then ask your friend if there are any sins she’d like to confess, because the Lord is always ready to forgive sins & to cleanse from unrighteousness. 4) Then ask your friend if she’d like you to pray for her to receive more of the Lord's goodness, peace & healing.

5) Then place a dab of oil on your finger & dab her forehead, neck & soles of her feet. The oil represents the invisible Holy Spirit who’ll flow through your faith & heart & glorify God the Father & Son, & heal your friend. 6) Then say: "I impart more of God’s goodness & healing to you by the placement of this oil & I command your body to receive & respond to the goodness & healing of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit Amen." 7) Then say, “We receive the answer to this prayer as done into our spirit, soul & body & we trust the invisible Spirit of Christ to bring it into your friend’s experience in His time & in His way. Our preference is now, within seconds & minutes but we’ll trust God to control the power of the Spirit flowing through us. Amen.”

8) Then sing a praise song like, "Jesus loves me."

9) Then keep trusting the Lord to love & care for your friend & read Psalm chapter 91, Exodus 15:26 & James 5:13-18 over her. 10) Then be your wonderful self, loving your friends as always.

“Is anyone sick?…call for the elders…let them pray…anointing with oil… the prayer of faith will save the sick… the Lord will raise up… Confess sins… pray for one another, that you may be healed (James 5:13-18).”
