Questions, Answers & Prayer:
God told Zerubbabel He’d do great things thru Him by grace: “Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit says the Lord.”
Can you break that down?
The power of the gospel is not great displays of human power: strength, wisdom, influence, ability, genius or shows of force.
God’s singular divine power is infused into men, vessels of clay, with hearts governed by humility & reliant on the Spirit.
So, Zerubbabel is sincere & honest about being worn & weary waiting for breakthrough?
Yes. God’s might is seen in him as the Spirit & Word declare what they will do thru his weak, contrite & humble heart.
So, as long as a servant’s heart is led by the Spirit & the Word, he will be enabled to complete the work by the power of the Spirit flowing from his heart?
Yes. All human strength will eventually fail. God’s servant can cooperate with the Spirit & the Word & do all things, in Him.
“Father, help me remember Your Word to Zerubbabel, “Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit says the Lord (Zec. 4:6) Amen.”
