Questions, Answers & Prayer:

How does God feel about me when I’m at my worst?

His gentle & merciful heart calls you “His dear & darling child,” (Jeremiah 31:20) & He moves, towards, to help & rescue you.

But it seems He’s moving away?

Your heart moves away not His.

Jesus says: “My heart yearns for you… I’ve loved you with an everlasting love (Jer 31:3,20).”

But the Bible says God: disciplines, afflicts & judges as consequences for my sin?

God hates sin & its harm & death. God’s mercy works through His discipline, affliction & judgments: Turning you away from sin & back to His mercy.

By sinning, I’m afflicting myself?

Precisely.

God afflicts & brings goodness.

“God does not afflict from His heart (Lamentations 3:33).”

So, I choose sin & death. God allows effects so I’ll run from darkness & turn to His Light?

Correct. God afflicts us so we’ll stop afflicting ourselves & turn to Jesus who says; “Come to Me & learn from My gentle & humble heart (Matthew 11:29).”

So, any suggestions for me?

Yes! Go to Jesus & learn from Him because there’s no love so great & wonderful as that which is in the heart of Jesus Christ.
