Questions, Answers & Prayer:
The sinful world shouts, “Do what makes you happy?”
Is it a misguided illusion that you can do something to create the favorable circumstances that will bring you Divine joy?
It is misguided because there is a God shaped vacuum in every human heart that only Divine joy from Jesus can fill & satisfy.
But it’s a good thing setting personal goals & making plans to do what you believe is best?
Yes. That is, overall, a good direction. But guard against seeking the illusion of happiness apart from Jesus.
What Does Jesus suggest?
“Jesus says, let not your heart be troubled… believe… in Me.”
“If you obey My (teaching), you will abide in My love… these things I have spoken to you that My (Divine) joy may remain in you, & that your joy may be full.”
So, Jesus says, that Divine joy, longed for, is promised, only, in closeness & obedience to Him?
Yes! Personal goals can be good but are secondary, like all blessings of life; that flow from the source of the primary blessing, which is; Jesus.
To be clear: It’s a misguided illusion to seek Divine joy in even good, beneficial, secondary goals.
But secondary goals lead to Divine joy if they align with the primary goal of becoming like Jesus & helping others to also?
Yes! Jesus teaches the pathway to Divine joy. Come & learn from Him for He’s gentle & humble of heart. He promises Divine joy.
(John 14:1; 15:9-11; Matthew 11:29-30).
