Why did Paul say: “Do not be drunk with wine… but be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18)”

Wine in a bottle or glass has no effect. He commands me to live: Owned & “Lit up” by the Spirit.

The Spirit’s fruit & power are both to be equally sought after?

Yes! Jesus, fully God, depends on the: Father for all He says & does. Spirit for the divine power. He wants to do the same in us.

The Spirit’s fruit & Spirit’s power:

“…the fruit of the Spirit is love… one & the same Spirit works all these things… to each…just as He wills (Gal 5:22; 1 Cor 12:6-11)”

“Father, I surrender all to You & trust fully in Your presence. Complete the work You've begun in me: Sanctify me wholly. Release the Spirit’s power in the name of Jesus Christ upon me & bear fruit thru me. Spirit, lead me as You plan to do the same will of God & accomplish His work thru me that you did as You worked aligned with Jesus. As the Father sent Jesus to work with You: Jesus, sent me to work with You. I long to live fully guided by Your fruit & gifts: To edify God's people & bring Father Son & Spirit glory in all of life. Amen”

Partial Fast: Dec 2-9 or 2-23 (7 or 21 Day) 25 to 50% normal eating 2-9 or 2-23 each month Thru 2024 U.S. Elections & Feast of Tabernacles & Thru July 2025. If God’s people cry out for mercy & serve God with prayer & fasting through July 2025 then God’s mercy will triumph over judgment & remnant will stand with Israel.
