Give another example of prayer & fasting for urgent crisis?

Ezra had to lead God’s people from Babylon to Jerusalem through country infested by savage tribes & thieves. They had wives, children & a fortune in sacred temple vessel gold.

Without military strength Ezra sought God’s divine help & power thru prayer & fasting.

“We proclaimed a fast that we might humble ourselves before God, to seek from Him the right way for us, our little ones & our possessions. So we fasted, prayed & God answered our prayer (Ezra 8:21-23).”

“Holy Spirit, strengthen us with endurance. Teach us to pray, fast & speak the word of God in the power of the Spirit. Give us insight into Your Word, will & ways & revival in our family, city, culture & all nations. Amen.”

Partial Fast: Feb 2-9. 50-80% normal eating. 2-9 each month thru Nov 2024: U.S. Elections & Feast of Tabernacles.
