Why’s the church need revival?

Under Moses, God’s people replaced Him with a gold idol leading to sin & lawlessness.

The church replaces God with an idol & denies Christ; teaching only parts of the Bible people want to hear (2 Tim 4:2-4).

How do things shift to revival?

Moses cries: “Who’s on the Lord’s side? Come to me.”

The clarion call separates those who “tickle ears” & those who teach the whole counsel of God

(Acts 20:27).

How did God lead Moses to lead them from rebellion into revival?

Moses shows the few to intercede & stand in the gap between people’s sin & God.

God speaks judgment: “His presence will not go with them.”

Moses’ & the church’s response to the withdrawal of God’s presence is the key to revival:

1st Step- Desperate, urgent, intercession crying out for mercy & the presence of God.

2nd Step- Wholehearted deep repentance in prayer: Hungering & thirsting for the presence of God. With hearts of obedience willing to be led into revival.

“Father, we pray with tears & agony for mercy & a greater measure of Your presence so we may speak Your word boldly & obey You at all times so the Father may be glorified in the Son (Hebrews 5:7) Amen.”
