Questions, Answers & Prayer:

Can I pray to overcome fear?

Yes! We’ll pray below but first:

Review the four part game plan:

Recognize- That God, not you, has the ability & wisdom to help you conquer fear.

Request- Ask God to help you see your desperate need to: depend on Him, to learn from Him & to cooperate with Him as He lifts you in His love over fear.

Renew- Feed & meditate on the Word & the Spirit will be leading you to renew your mind away from the fearful, self-centered, negative, mindset & towards the peaceful, confident, hopeful, God-centered, spiritual mind.

Remain- Stay close to God. Remind yourself God’s always with you. He’ll never leave you. He enjoys you & stays with you even when you’re at your worst.

“Father, when I’m afraid, I’ll put my confidence in You. I trust Your promises. You’ve not given me a spirit of fear but of power & of love, & self-control. Jesus, You’re delivering me from being fearful hearted by commanding me: “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come & rescue you.” Lord, I receive Your gift; a peaceful mind. I cast away troubled thoughts. I choose to be strong & courageous in Your strength, which dwells inside of me.”

“Lord, You’re my light & my salvation. You’re my fortress. I shelter myself in You. Your goodness, wisdom & strength is my stability. Jesus, I’ll take hold of Your strength & allow Your goodness, wisdom & power, to flow into me. I make peace with You knowing that You’re not withholding from me but strengthening me as we hold on to each other. Surely in You, Lord, I have righteousness & strength. Strengthen me when my hands are weak & make firm my feeble knees. Help me to stir up my courage as You, Lord, stir up Your strength & have compassion on me. Embrace me, kiss me & bind up what is broken in me & strengthen what is sick & revive & restore me to be strong & unafraid & brave in Your strength & in the tranquility of Your presence.
