When I fall into seeking happiness above all else, I’m being led by feelings, not by wisdom or by the Spirit?
Correct. You’re putting your faith in your feelings instead of in the love of God to guide you.
What motive trusts in feelings?
The motive is fear, the enemy of faith & the opposite of love, the feeling that leads to unbelief.
So, when you’re off the faith path, you’re on the fear path?
Yes! Out of light; into darkness.
What Satanic scheme does it?
The devil uses fear to break our confidence in God & to convince us to seek, first, to feel better.
Where does the fear path lead?
Remaining on the path of fear takes you down these 7 steps:
Fear- Self-absorbed w/ bad outcomes & feeling better.
Unbelief- Trusting feelings, rather than spiritual evidence.
Being more easily offended-
Acting on impulse to feel better-
Deception-Confused perception
Hopelessness- Loss of faith
Rage- Bad: temper, tone, spirit
These spiral downward & increase to a place of misery.
Are there 7 Faith path steps?:
Faith-Loyalty to proven source.
Continuing in the Word of God-
Grace- The gentle, humble heart, mercy & favor of God.
Wisdom- Supernatural insight knowledge & understanding.
Truth- The actual state of affairs. What’s genuine & real.
Hope- Expecting to obtain in the future the fruit of today’s plans.
Love of Christ- Love, peace, joy, longsuffering, gentleness goodness, faithfulness, self-control, kindness of Jesus.
