I want to read a historic national repentance: God hears & responds with mercy. The nation’s sacrifice of fasting. The blessed rewards of fasting?

Jonah…obeyed God & declared: “40 more days & Nineveh will be overthrown (Jonah 3:4).”

“Then the people of Nineveh believed in God & (all) called a fast…the king…issued a proclamation…people are to (fast) & call on God vehemently…turn…from his evil way… Who knows? God may turn & relent…that we may not perish…When God saw their (fasting & repentance)…God relented of the disaster which He had declared He would bring on them. So (God) did not do it (& blessed them)… (Jonah 3:5-10).”

The testimony of Jonah & Nineveh can be the testimony of my family, city & nation?

We must decide which testimony to choose: Nineveh has 2 testimonies: 1) Obeyed Jonah & were rescued. 2) 100 yrs later they ignored Habakkuk’s warning & was destroyed in 612 B.C.

God hears the cry of a family, city & nation that fasts, prays, & repents & He responds w/ mercy!

“Lord enable us to be faithful to consecrate ourselves fully to You & to pray, fast & repent with steadfastness. Strengthen our heart with endurance to do Your will with zeal & diligence. Amen.”

Partial Fast: Oct 2-9 or 2-23 (7 or 21 Day) 25 to 50% normal eating 2-9 or 2-23 each month Thru 2024 U.S. Elections & Feast of Tabernacles & Thru July 2025. If God’s people cry out for mercy & serve God with prayer & fasting through July 2025 then God’s mercy will triumph over judgment & America will stand with Israel.
