Why is the Church in America: 1. Unable to maintain Biblical values 2. Overwhelmed by the lawless values of the spirit of the world?

The Church, just like Israel, has alternated between seasons of rebelling against God & putting other priorities before Him & seasons of repentance & revival.

We are in a season of rebellion.

How did Isaiah approach God?

Isaiah the Prophet showed God’s people Israel, when they felt desperate & abandoned, how to pray to God’s glorious character, who never failed them, & ask Him to look down from heaven & visit them again. Isaiah asked God to carry them again as He did in the days of old. God has carried the church back to repentance & revival many times after a season of going astray, as He did Israel.

Give Isaiah’s great revival prayer?

“(Lord) I mention the (great mercies) of the Lord…the great goodness…Look down…rend the heavens…come down…the mountains shake…make Your name known to our adversaries…tremble at Your presence (Isaiah 63:7-64:2) Amen.”

How did Isaiah & Daniel cry out to God as the Church must cry out?

Isaiah & Daniel went to God as prodigals representing a prodigal people as intercessors must do:

“Father, we come as the prodigal…we arise…come to You Father…say to You…we have sinned against You…we’re no more worthy…called Your sons, make us hired servants. Amen.”

(Luke 15:18-21)

What is the essence of Isaiah’s & the Church’s prayer for revival?

“Lord, Great & Merciful God! We come in utter humility, see our rebellion…our folly…shame… we arise & come to You. Your mercy & power are constant. When You look upon us…bless us…Do for us what we can’t do for ourselves…scatter our enemies…fill the cries of the church’s hearts…love You first… Nothing matters but to know Christ & to please Him. Amen.”
