Is stillness of soul necessary in order to submit to Jesus as Lord?

God wants the kind of partnership & cooperation that is founded on subordination?

As Jesus fully depended on the Father for all His words & works, so the believer can do nothing apart from Christ (John 15:5).

What the believer will do apart from Jesus is altogether sinful.

Isa 30:15 “In…rest & in quietness & in confidence is your strength”

Ps 37:7 “(Be silent to) the Lord, & wait patiently for Him”

Ps 62:1 “Truly my soul waits silently upon God”

“Spirit, teach us to cease from self-effort so we can wait for You to: Renew. Sanctify. Awaken our energies to their highest power. Enable us, as a passive tool in the hand of God waiting to be used, as an active tool of God’s power.”

“Open our eyes to see lessons of stillness of soul, abiding in Christ: Ps 62:5 “My soul, only be silent unto God; for my expectation is from Him…Prov 23:4 “Cease from your own wisdom”… Isa 30:15 “In quietness & confidence shall be your strength… Ps 46:10 “Be still & know…I am God. Ps 22:3 “God’s enthroned on the praises of His people.” Amen”

Partial Fast: Feb 2-9 or 2-23 (7 or 21 Day) 25 to 50% normal eating 2-9 or 2-23 each month Thru July 2025. If God’s people cry out for mercy & serve God with prayer & fasting through July 2025 then God’s mercy will triumph over judgment & remnant will stand with Israel.
