Questions, Answers & Prayer:

David’s the Biblical model (Psalm 18) of how to seek God in both sin & in victory in Jesus. How did he respond when at his worst compared to how most respond?

Most run away from God when in sin due to guilt, shame & fear. We try to repair things ourselves through self-trust. This keeps us apart from God & stuck in sin.

David did not run away from sin shame & guilt. He asked God for the strength to face & resolve these things by running to God.

David’s our model. When he sins he runs to God & confesses his sin to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus of all guilt, shame & fear. He carries a sincere heart: He trusts God’s word that he is dead to sin & alive to God. He depends on God’s word & Spirit to keep him from sin. He is bold to run to God even when he is at his worst. He does not trust self-effort but depends on God for the strength to trust & obey. He trusts God’s word & Spirit to: Forgive him. Delight in him. Accept him. Give direction. Give identity. Give purpose. Define himself based on what God’s word says about how much God delights & values him.

“Father, I praise You for always loving me with Your whole heart, even when I sin. Thank you for the cleansing blood of Jesus & for graciously accepting & delighting in my weak & even broken love; offered at such times. Enable me to grow in grace daily. Keep me growing in sincerity, honesty, obedience & faithfulness. Strengthen me to love You with my whole heart as You sanctify me completely: spirit, soul & body. (Psalm 18:1-50; 2 Sam 22:1-51) Amen.”

Partial Fast: Dec 2-9 or 2-23 (7 or 21 Day) 25 to 50% normal eating 2-9 or 2-23 each month Thru 2024 U.S. Elections & Feast of Tabernacles & Thru July 2025. If God’s people cry out for mercy & serve God with prayer & fasting through July 2025 then God’s mercy will triumph over judgment & remnant will stand with Israel.
