Questions, Answers & Prayer:

I’m confused about how to fulfill Jesus’s command to: “Abide in Him.” I am saved & forgiven by grace through faith: God doing the grace work instead of me. But when I try to thank Him by doing the work of “abiding in Him” I don’t have what it takes?

Receive the truth that it’s God, not you, who does the grace work when you confess & believe in your heart any of God’s truths.

What? The Bible says: By grace you abide in Him thru faith?

In so many words. Grace is God doing for you what you can’t do for yourself. Apart from grace you can’t trust, love or obey God.

But I must work & do something?

The fruit of Christ’s work in you!

You always depend on grace the way a child must depend on a father to climb a steep edge on a hill. The father stands above & takes his son’s hand to help him over. He points him to a spot he will help him land on as he leaps upward. The leap would be too high for the son alone. But the father’s hand is the son’s focus. The father’s might secures & lifts him up & urges his best as the son partners with one stronger.

“Father, help me accept that I am weak but you are strong & that abiding in Christ is meant only for the weak & is so beautifully suited to our feebleness: Not under the law with striving but under grace with its blessed believe what Jesus will enable us to do as He imparts what we need. Receive by faith. Prepare to act on it by faith, growing to abide constantly in Christ. Amen”

Partial Fast: Jan 2-9 or 2-23 (7 or 21 Day) 25 to 50% normal eating 2-9 or 2-23 each month Thru July 2025. If God’s people cry out for mercy & serve God with prayer & fasting through July 2025 then God’s mercy will triumph over judgment & remnant will stand with Israel.
